A convolution reverb utilizes captured samples (known as impulse responses) from real-world environments or physical hardware to digitally recreate the exact reverberation characteristics and nuances of these spaces or devices. Renowned for its exceptional realism due to sampling rather than synthesis, convolution reverb is widely acknowledged as one of the highest-quality reverb types. However, traditional convolution reverbs often lack extensive control over the reverberation process.

Setting itself apart, AltiSpace allows users to upload custom impulse response files and provides a diverse built-in library featuring intriguing vintage reverb device presets. Moreover, it offers advanced functionalities like EQ, gate, ducking, modulation, and more, enabling users to modify the original impulse response parameters extensively and save them as new presets.

   AltiSpace is a versatile application compatible with iOS and macOS platforms. It functions seamlessly on iPhones, iPads, Macs with M1 chips (and newer generations). AltiSpace operates independently on iPhones and iPads, as an Audio Unit or Inter-App Audio module, supporting Audiobus and Ableton Link integrations. On macOS systems, AltiSpace serves both as a stand-alone application and an Audio Unit (AUv3) compatible with various DAWs and audio unit hosts like Ableton Live, Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, Cockos Reaper, Plogue Bidule, and other AUv3-compatible hosts. All features are accessible on both iOS and macOS versions, which also include MIDI support with a MIDI learn feature and configurable audio unit parameters.
